![]() Knowing that SOMETHING is coming will spoil the overall experience somewhat, but it’s still an experience worth having. This, by the way, is where I tell you to go play Frog Fractions, if you haven’t already. I don’t know if it’s actually true anymore (or if it ever was, really – maybe it was just the podcasts I was listening to at the time), but for a while there, it really seemed to be in vogue to refer to a certain style of game as “ Frog Fractions 2.” It’s a type of shorthand, just like “rogue-like” or “Metroidvania,” and it usually means that a game presents itself as one seemingly innocent thing, while hiding, in reality, a deeper, generally way weirder thing underneath.
